Posted by pamela on March 18, 2009. Filled under Articles by Pam Dunmire.

Sunset Point is an original acrylic painting on gallery wrap canvas: 24″T X 30″W.  This painting is a new work by A.C.E. artist Pamela Dunmire.  She was influence by her drives home to Prescott from Phoenix, Arizona. Traveling I17 north from Phoenix you go through high dessert and winding mountain passes.  Sunset Point is a high plateau that you reach just before you take the exit Rte 69 to Prescott, AZ. Pamela states, ”After a long day working in the city I can’t wait to get home to Prescott and my studio.  Upon reaching the crest of the plateau I see Sunset Point to my left and many times I arrive just as the sun is setting.  It’s a beacon of hope that I will soon be home.”    The artist hopes that you will find your beacon of hope, and that this painting will warm your soul.
